Votte Hall Releases Captivating New Single “Motion Pt. 2” ft. AZ

Atlanta based Billboard-charting R&B artist Votte Hall just released his highly anticipated single “Motion Pt. 2” featuring Brooklyn’s legendary lyricist AZ (Illmatic, “Sugar Hill,” The Firm) and super producer LaDamon “FatBoi” Douglas (Gucci Mane, Jeezy, Nicki Minaj).

“Motion Pt. 2″is the sound of the grind finally paying off. Over FatBoi’s rich, soul-soaked production and crisp, polished percussion, Votte Hall looks back on the hard nights spent in a dark kitchen and raises a glass to the life he built, one that’s now filled with Maybach rides and penthouse skylines. AZ follows with a masterclass in pen game, lacing the track with intricate wordplay about perseverance and the principles that got him through. It’s a celebration, but it never forgets how long the road was.

Known for breakout hits like “Kiss On Me” and his expansive 2024 album Heartbreaker, Votte Hall blends R&B roots, storytelling grit, and a mix of Gullah Geechee, African, and Caribbean heritage into his music.

Votte Hall is back in Motion. The Billboard-charting entertainer, songwriter and performer returns with “Motion Pt. 2,” a new record produced by acclaimed hitmaker LaDamon “FatBoi” Douglas and featuring legendary New York rapper AZ. FatBoi brings a proven track record across hip-hop and R&B, including producing Gucci Mane’s breakout hit “Wasted,” along with production credits spanning artists such as Ella Mai, Jeezy, Monica, Flo Rida and Plies. Joining Votte on the record is AZ, one of hip-hop’s most respected lyricists. First introduced to the world through his standout appearance alongside Nas on the landmark Illmatic album, AZ went on to launch an acclaimed solo career with Doe or Die and his hit single “Sugar Hill.” He later joined Nas, Foxy Brown and Nature as a member of The Firm, the celebrated supergroup whose album was released through Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment.

For Votte Hall, Motion is about chasing a dream long enough to finally see it move. It’s a message that mirrors his own journey.Hall broke through in 2018 with “Kiss On Me,” beginning a run that would lead to Billboard chart recognition, arena stages, live television and performances surrounding NFL and other professional sports franchises. In 2024, his Heartbreaker album expanded his reach internationally and continued to establish Votteas an entertainer unwilling to be confined to one musical lane.

His sound reflects that freedom. R&B and soul remain part of his musical foundation, but Votte’s influences stretch across the world and his love for Afrobeats and global rhythms. Raised with Gullah Geecheeroots/African/Caribbean roots, there is also an understated connection to culture, rhythm and storytelling that naturally finds its way into his music. Yet one of the most relatable parts of Votte Hall’s story happened away from the stage.

Before the arena performances and Billboard recognition, Hall was an everyday businessman working a corporate career while pursuing an extraordinary dream. He built his professional life, went to work, handled responsibilities and continued creating music, often balancing the same realities faced by millions of people who are building one life while dreaming about another. He is largely self-made, and that experience has shaped both the man and the entertainer. That is why “Motion Pt. 2” carries a different meaning. It is for the entrepreneur waiting for the business to take off. The artist is waiting for someone to hear the record. The professional builds something after work. The person who has been quietly betting on themselves while the rest of the world sees only their everyday life.

Sometimes the dream doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes you work for it for years. And then, finally, it starts moving. With FatBoi behind the production, AZ bringing the unmistakable voice of New York hip-hop, and VotteHall entering his next chapter as an entertainer, “Motion Pt. 2” connects where he has been with where he is going.

For Votte Hall, the message is simple: Keep going until the dream is in Motion.
