Big Fil & Joshua Penn Unveils New Song "Glad That We're Here"

Fresh off the release of their This Is Worship compilation project, Holy Culture Records returns with the first leak off forthcoming holiday album A Holy Culture Christmas. Appropriately titled "Glad That We're Here," the gratitude infused Hip-Hop song features vocals from Big Fil & Joshua Penn and was produced by in-house instrumentalist Marv4MoBeats.

The collaboration emerged from candid reflections between the label mates regarding the past year; the setbacks, the near misses, and the subtle beauty of a simple family assembly. The first verse transports listeners to Granny’s kitchen during the winter, where despite rising gas prices and tight finances, the family gathers, the meal satisfies, and a Donny Hathaway track drifts through the home.

Expanding the focus from the kitchen to the entire household, the second verse finds Penn praising his wife and children, acknowledging the grace and favor found in the simple reality that they remain together, thriving, and free to be themselves as a family.
