Bio

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Fly Reef was brought up in a single parent home with a Muslim background. Although raised by his mother, she still made sure kept him in the latest fashion. At the age of 10 Fly Reef began rapping with influences from rappers like Jay-Z, Fabolous, DMX, and Biggie; which he has some reslations to through his mother's side of the family. As Fly Reef grew older he kept the eye for fashion that his mother had given him. Deciding to embrace his Muslim religion more, he began pushing his name Shareef which is where his name Fly Reef derived from. A turning point in life came when Fly Reef's mother became hospitalized and comatose, which forced the coming of age to happen sooner. Years later Fly Reef's mother passed away and he expresses his love and honor for her everyday by doing what he loves the most, music
