Malik Lerow is Sport'n Slick -the Artist Formerly Known As DA$. Malik started off in the music industry in 2002 aspiring to be a CEO of a record company where he met Block Ent. founder who gave him tutelage on the music game and taught him how to count bars. Still defiant against becoming an artist, Malik had a short tenure as an intern at Red Zone Ent./Triangle Sound in Atlanta,Ga at the age of 19. In 2006, Malik made his first album in the basement entitled DA$- Dead Ass Serious. In 2007, DA$ linked up with Don P of Trillville to make some hit records and changed his name from DA$ to D.A. Shortly thereafter the DA got the best of him at trial which resulted in a lengthy prison sentence. After serving eleven years in the Georgia penal system, Malik came home and picked up where he left off- resurrecting his music career as Sport'n Slick.
