Farrah Mechael - "Farrah Please"
HOT RiGHT NOW: RNB POP FROm DETROiT
Farrah Mechael is a rapidly emerging artist hailing from Detroit, where she has spent most of her life singing in different capacities, from jazz to pop to opera and soul. Her latest release, Farrah Please, is yet another demonstration of her ever impressive versatility, where lifelong pop sensibilities are crossed with an RnB feel. Farrah Please begins with Farrah’s dreamy vocal harmonies emerging over lush, lo-fi piano chords. She sings in tones tinged with dark temptation, invoking the pursuits of desire and the pitfalls of love. The song crescendos into a dizzying breakdown, as playful as it is assertive. Farrah Please is bold, seductive and extremely well produced: the perfect musical cocktail for 2017’s newest star.
Farrah’s latest release has managed to breaks the mold as an expertly produced RnB song with a distinctly modern edge, accompanied by a message that can be understood universally:
In Farrah’s own words, “I want my music to take you back to a special time in your life. I want my music to make you feel deeply and love passionately. I want my music to set you free.”
Such a message is encapsulated by the opening appeal in Farrah Please: ‘Babe, you’ve got to stop waiting for tomorrow’ is an alluring invitation to a love that transcends the day-to-day.
Not only does Farrah Please cut through the filler of the saturated mainstream RnB market; it is intended to deliver the listener into a personal space that breaks through the routine of modern life. At once personal and universal, Farrah Please is an essential release in 2017 from an emerging new singer.
Farrah Mechael is part of the next generation of pop singers, and she’s coming through your airwaves. Her new single is an impressive addition to a career getting more illustrious by the day - if you don’t know, then you soon will.
