Exclusive Interview with Huffington Post:

What is the message your music conveying?

Well my message is very vivid. I can't write without putting passion and raw emotion into it so when it comes to the direction I would say I speak a lot on relationships in a very poetic way. It can go into a direction of when a relationship goes wrong or when a relationship is beautiful, but your always going to be able to feel that raw emotion I put into it that most tell me comes off very relatable. I also talk a lot about the struggle and give descriptions of my past growing in in Los Angeles CA, but my main points I try to hit on is relationship issues. I have a lot of experience with the ladies so I like to give the message of I can relate to what you are going through in every way when it comes to a man and a woman trying to make it work and hopefully I can open your eyes up a little bit after hearing what I got to say.

Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD's?

Well fist and foremost my favorite group/ team is Fambase ENT. That's my label and my crew that has been riding with me since day one! The team consist of my brother J-Y aka Green Eyes, (cousin) Tippy Tae, Pazazz, Nitty, Anthony, Mark, Mario & my lil (cousin) Young Ray who's locked up at the time but he will be out soon. Other than the squad I would say favorite group ever is Jodeci & favorite Artist is Eminem & Ginuwine.

What inspires you to work so hard

I opened up for just about any artist you can name..lol. Just to give a few names, Warren G, Mos Def, Kirko Bangz, E-40, Scarface, Lil Durk, and more, it's hard to go through all of the names & in August I will be opening up for singer Jerimih.

Have you ever opened for any major artists?

What inspires me to work hard is my family & creating history that will pour down from generations and generations after me. My family come from a long line of talent & I wants to help provide opportunities for my family to show how great they really are. Also all my family know is struggle so I want to end the cycle so my nephews, cousins, my future kids & more can see different! Another thing that motivate me is letting the kids who come from broken homes know that I been through everything they are experiencing and if I can make it they can too. After my parents divorced I was kicked out of my mom house at 12 & kicked out at my dad house at 15, after that I lived house to house with family members until I was able to take care of myself so it was never easy and I those kids to know that

Have you been in competitions? 

Yes, I have been in many competitions. Back in 08 when I use to perform with my little brother J-Y we use to go down to Studio City and enter competitions at this club and we never places lower than 2nd. I remember when we finally got first we was young and thought we was on top of the world..lol..I was around 19 at that time.

Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV?

I have did over 200 shows around California. So performing in public is what I love and always been something that just I felt set me free. I love to perform, I get the biggest rush off of it, when I perform I love to involve the crowd, sometimes I even bring a girl on stage get a chair out and give her a fun lap dance..lol. You never know what to expect from me so come to a show and enjoy that experience with us.

How do you handle mistakes during a performance?

That's funny because I was just talking about that with my boy Pazazz the other day. lol. Most of the time when you mess up in a performance the crowd don't notice if you lmao what your doing. I always tell my team to always stay on the train or get left, what that mean is if you mess up don't look and don't stop, just pick back up and keep going. I had times where the DJ was messing with my music so I told them to cut it and went acapella. It doesn't matter to me, no matter what I'm going to keep going and give the crowd what they came to see and that's a great performance.

Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?

Not really, I'm not. Person who really gets nervous about things because I'm a risk taker by blood but I get excited and that may bring a little nerves sometimes just because you what to make sure you give a good show! I love what I do so giving that amazing performance means everything to me! I ENT people to remember me when they leave so I always do something unexpected.

What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

What I would give beginners who might get nervous before a show is don't be afraid to make mistakes, welcome it! Take risks, at the end of the day there will be other shows and in order to learn how to give a great show you have to expect mistakes so you see what you can do better next time to eventually give incredible shows.

What makes a good session?

What makes a good session is having a great engineer/ producer in there with you who knows you like you know yourself musically. Also for me I like to have some tea, not too many people in the room and all the lights cut off in the dark with my glasses on so I can take myself outside of the world I am currently in into the world my song is pertaining to. If I'm talking about my past I want to be back in that place, if I'm talking about making love I want to see that girl and feel her skin, that's how I create and have great sessions.
