DARC Launches A New Global Copyright Protection For Original Works & IP

Digital Assertive Copyright, known as DARC, has officially launched as a global platform aimed at protecting original works from infringement and piracy. Headquartered in Miami, DARC introduces an advanced copyright registration system that offers creators, artists, and developers near-instant protection for music, writing, images, video, software, and more. Its mission is clear: safeguard intellectual property through technology that moves as fast as creativity does.

DARC allows users to secure proof of ownership in seconds by uploading a file or taking a photo. Once submitted, the work is registered on the Dacr Network, a proprietary system integrated with blockchain to create a permanent, timestamped record. This registration provides a verifiable public certificate that can be used to prove authorship and ownership across legal and commercial settings.

The platform arrives at a moment when creators face growing challenges. More than 1.1 billion original works are created annually, yet fewer than 0.05% are formally registered with government copyright agencies. Many lack the time, money, or access to navigate slow bureaucracies. By contrast, DARC’s pricing starts at just $2 per work per year, eliminating steep costs and delays.

CEO Solomon Engel believes the platform is a necessary evolution. “DARC gives power back to the creators. Government registration is too slow and costly. We give creators protection the moment their work is made—before it hits the marketplace,” Engel said.

Attorneys across the IP field have echoed that sentiment. John Lane of Gunnercooke US LLP says DARC’s system “offers strong evidentiary proof for courtroom defense.” Benjamin Dach, a partner at Pierson Ferdinand LLP, described DARC as a “powerful legal tool for creators on both national and international levels.”

DARC isn’t just about protecting content—it’s also about reclaiming control. The platform’s AI-driven fingerprinting creates unique digital identifiers for each work, which help track unauthorized use. A new feature, set to launch later this year, will deploy DARC AI across the internet to detect and report pirated copies, even during live events like Pay-Per-View broadcasts.

Music executive Willie Joe of Generation Now praised the platform as a vital tool. “Artists finally have a way to protect their work. This is a game-changer.”

In the coming months, DARC will roll out tools allowing IP holders to license and sell their content using DARC tokens—no paperwork or blockchain knowledge required. These tools will support royalty collection, recurring fees, and global license management.

Developers are also invited to build on the DARC Network. APIs and SDKs will launch soon, allowing partners to create white-label services or integrate DARC’s system into existing apps. Registration for developers is now open at dacr.com/developers.

Available on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, DARC is positioned as a next-generation defense against IP theft—designed for a world where content moves quickly, and creators can’t afford to wait.
