Brooklyn rapper Niccnumber9 Born Dominique J. Jackson grew up in the East New York. East New York is notoriously known for its high crime ranging from gun violence, drug trafficking, drug abuse and gang activities.
Niccnumber9 grew up inspiring to be a boxer and basketball player but that was short lived due to the harsh circumstances of his environment. He became a member of the Crips a notoriously violent gang. Niccnumber9 and a group of friends came together to form rockstars, later down the liner the group became one of the most ruthless violent gangs of East New York. He’s been in and out of jail since 2008 for gun charges. In 2011, he survived being shot 5 times.
While serving his time he kept in close contact with his older brother Divon J. Jackson aka Prince. His brother would play him all the new music that was out especially music from up and coming rapper & producer “ Thrilla “. Niccnumber9 was heavily influenced by Thrilla, Meek and Jayz . He began writing rhymes while locked up. Thrilla would play him beats over the phone and he would rap over them. Recently released in 2020 , 2021 couldn’t have been a better year him and Thrilla began recording and the rest is history!
