DJ, Producer, MC Cobra Don is taking on new frontier. He is in his Long Island studio crafting some of the fiercest bass heavy hip hop for his upcoming release “Time Extended.” Dirty grungy and refreshing, the album is slated to span 8 tracks with a slew of the fiercest rappers in the underground. Forget what you’ve been hearing with bass, these tracks swell with fresh unheard of approaches to trunk banging. Cobra Don hand crafted a set of 808s for the project, his secret bass weapon called Gablastadon features some of the richest renditions of 808s. He then explains that he takes these “crystal bass” samples and shoots them through a custom distortion engine he tailored. “This thing extended over time” he explains.
