Last summer, YOUNG Gii dropped a series of projects including a single named "More to Life" which featured The Real. Perhaps the audio alone just wasn’t enough to express his emotion about the constant violence and poverty levels that people are experiencing around the world and especially in his hometown of Chicago. Taking the initiative to share ideas and spread peace in a city that struggles so much with gun violence simply because of the lack of resources, YOUNG Gii aims to bring a sense of hope to the people. With his "More to Life" record YOUNG Gii stresses the message that life has so much more to offer than senseless crimes, drugs and gang activity. Whether it’s an emotional gain, creative or physical advance, the city of Chicago must unite and capitalize off of the many opportunities that are available which contribute to the growth within our communities. The violence here in Chicago is likely to be the city’s greatest challenge but with musicians such as YOUNG Gii, social leaders and activists paving the way for a better Chicago, especially our younger generation, saving our people could be our greatest accomplishment.

YOUNG Gii plans to continue inspiring his listeners and presenting them with positive bodies of work. Leading by example and being a walking testimony is one of many ways to start building a better Chicago and there is so much more to life so put the guns down because your life does matter.
