Patrick Lamont Barnett Jr. A.K.A. Pat B Da Truth is an up and coming hip hop artist from Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in June 1995 as the middle child of two avid hip hop and R&B listeners, raised with a musically inclined older sister and younger brother, Pat B grew up surrounded by music. While he was captivated by the sounds of Tupac, R Kelly, Usher, Michael Jackson, T.I., Lil Wayne, Eminem, and others, he was a quiet child, with his family remarking that he rarely spoke.
It wasn't until he was 12 years old that Pat B Da Truth began writing his first rhymes - inspired by Soulja Boy and other young artists at the time - parodies of songs that he would post online to entertain his classmates in order to make friends. This led to black top freestyle cyphers between classes. The gathering of regular participants including friends, neighbors, and members of his school football team ultimately spawning Pat B's first rap group: The Huddle, which he led to release several mixtapes and campaigns until he graduated high school.
Originally named Pat B, feedback from his friend and now signed artist How DBlack DoDat inspired him to add "Da Truth" as a moniker to his name. As his rap associates went different ways to pursue various callings in life, the groups he took part in reformed and split numerous times. A team player and a leader of his people to his core, Pat was conflicted by the disbanding of his squads, and stepped away from releasing and promoting music for many years. However, he kept recording and studying his craft, learning to rebrand himself to stand as an independent artist. Now with a repertoire of experiences including ghost writing, professional battle rapping, engineering and curating music, Da Truth has reemerged as a musician! With a wide range of sounds, concepts, and skillsets Pat B seeks to provide a dose of all inclusive Hip Hop to everyone who will listen. Ever the student of the game, he has studied the stylings of King Los, Meek Mill, E-40, Mozzy, T.I., Jadakiss, Slaughterhouse, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Drake, Nas, Tech N9ne, Lil Dicky and more, His debut album "Multiverse" packs conscious lyricism and substance behind sound production and catchy vibes! This is the first step in his campaign, leading up to releasing original music content on a weekly basis to grow momentum in the music.
