After being "Beautifully Broken" earlier this year, IOTheSinger pays the price on her latest release "I Got A Ticket." Joined by the in-house ensemble of Chris Fisher (keys), Austin Stahle (guitar), Jon Laine (drums), Jean-Francis Varre controlled the (bass) and Frank Marchand (mixing/recording engineer) alongside Jose Bejaraño Arca, the Country-Pop declaration spotlights the poorly designed healthcare system in the states.
The record serves as the Second Single from her forthcoming project IO and is coupled with the announcement of an International Tour which kicks off on May 16th in Córdoba.
"I have been in situations where I had to decide between paying a bill and seeing the doctor. I have been in situations where I have avoided going to the doctor all together. How am I supposed to pay a ticket or my car note when I cannot afford a doctor's visit or health insurance?
I felt trapped, like the system was against me in these situations, I was going under and mad at the CEO's, the "man" who live off of my hard earned dollars working paycheck to paycheck. The Iyrics, I got a ticket but I've got rent to pay, are a real sentiment a lot of Americans are feeling especially now. I wrote this song for the people like me who need to yell and scream at the people in power who do not see us or our needs," the artist formerly known as AYO reveals in a press statement to Medium Creative Agency.
