Hood Illustrated was able to connect with Bigg Von outside for an interview  before Ice Cube showed up to celebrate his birthday with fans and supporters of this #HipHopLegend.  Ice Cube main priority was to celebrate the tip off to the new season of his #Big3 Hoop league in the 313 at Little Ceasars Areana.  

Bigg Von and Hood Illustrated Magazine go way back. We've connected several times over the years at the top industry conferences and festivals in the states such as A3C, SXSW and of course anything big popping off in Detroit.  Make sure you connect with his movement and build with one of the individuals who definitely know what it takes to create hit records.

HOOD Ill: Why is it so important to keep Detroit at the forefront while doing business all over the world?

Bigg Von:  I've always  been a hustler and grinder.  I'm always gonna represent Detroit. I've been doing music for over 20 years; ever since high school. I love music and eventually found my niche and created the right relationships in the business. I've been working directly with cube since 05'. I believe strong relationships are worth more than money; people have to start looking at business that way.  

HOOD Ill:  What have you currently been working on. Please let us know some of the projects you are behind that many may not know? 

Bigg Von:  We just produced  7 tracks off Ice Cubes new project "Everythangs Corrupt" me and my production team stay working.  I got an artist dropping this summer Drew Peckat @DrewPeckat #GetIfFromYou ... R& B singer who's lit right now.. and my lil brother AB Baby @Itsabbabby dropping soon also and he is out of San Deigo. We are working with some of everybody in the industry on production. This is one of the things we do along with song writing, management ad placements.  We cover all those areas.

Bigg Vonn:  Hey man listen It Bigg Vonn. Just remember these 5 things... Faith, Prayer, Persistency, Consistency and Motivation as longs you keep those things close then it will be all good. That's all you need.
