Artist Groovy C+ is arriving on the scene. A self proclaimed rapper, Groovy doesn't want to be labelled as such yet. He can produce far more than just rap music with the right tools in front of him. C+ has been a writer at heart and he loves telling stories. Music has always been a way of getting his foot into the entertainment industry. Groovy C+ is originally from Brooklyn, NY, although throughout his teen years he mostly moved between two spots, the NY one and in PA, where he attended school. At the age of 23 Groovy C+ moved to the south. Spartanburg/Greenville area of SC to be exact. After leaving the NY & PA area Groovy was exposed to things that made him want to fully experience more than just the East Coast. His artistic hunger was developing.
Groovy has always been writing lyrics from his early NY days to the South. In some way, shape or form he was always involved in music. From his early writings to his father making sure he picked up and played and instrument was how dedicated his father was to the music future. This was a huge support since Groovy C didn't quite have the confidence to actually record or make music, until that first song in 2015. That was the necessary catalyst and ever since then he fell in love with the craft. From then on he hit the ground running. He dropped the first single “Go n Get It” in the late summer of 2015. That was the first song he ever created. Fast forward to now. Groovy C+ writes all his own music, he's always involved in the selection and/or construct of his own beats. C+ also does some simple graphic designing as well as participates in the making and directing process of his own videos, funds his own career, and designs his own clothing for his brand. This way 90-100% of the creative side comes from him. Ultimately Groovy C hopes to make this a viable career where he can make a living off of the music and branding.
"Whether it’s superstar status or simply just matching a livable wage, as long as I’m making something while I live, I’ll do it till I can’t no more. "
