Bronx native Irvin Julius Winfree has several roles in life. As a family man, he is a
proud father to his daughter and French bulldog. Fun fact, he follows a Pescatarian
diet meaning he is primarily a vegetarian with fish and seafood being
the only “meat” he consumes.

As a Renaissance man, he grew up around a grandmother who painted, a mother who
played jazz and soul, and a father who blasted gritty rap titles. Moving between his
mother’s and father’s houses in middle school, the young artist expressed himself
through drawing and painting. Another getaway was listening to rap music. This is
where Winfree began his transformation into a musician.

Today, that musician is known as Tatted Swerve. When he was 16, Tatted had a friend
who built a music studio and inspired him to come by and record. This became a daily
activity, and while Tatted consistently improved, he had his doubts about making it big
as a rapper. Instead, he fell back to art as he resumed painting and became a tattoo artist.

Relying on these creative outlets for income, Tatted’s work quickly attracted a fan base. These
fans gave him a different perspective and view of the world. With music still being one of his
passions, Tatted began to record again. In 2018 he released his debut single “Come Home”,
featuring the acclaimed Coi Leray. The song was a hit and showcased
Tatted as a promising artist.

One of the reasons the song was so well-received is due to its unique melodic style of rap. For
those unfamiliar with the genre, this is the fusion of the rhythm-based lyrics of hip hop with the
melodious vocals and catchy beats usually heard in pop music. One of the most
well-known melodic rappers is the legendary LL Cool Jay.

Tatted has a new goal: to be the best rap artist in the business. Currently recording music for
himself and others, he has a serious approach to his music, visual art, and innovation. He uses
his craft to tell the tale of his upbringing and lifestyle with brutal honesty. Tatted is not afraid
to share the truth about his background as it is a major driving force behind his work.

With ambitions of working with the biggest names in music, Tatted is off to a very
promising start. “Come Home” is available on all major streaming platforms including
Amazon, Apple, and Spotify.

His follow up track, “Make a Name” was released in 2020 and features M.I YaYo.
These popular songs have increased Tatted’s fan base to include over 10,000
followers. Combining intense yet relatable lyrics with the attention-grabbing
