From the trenches of Georgia, Freaky Tlazy is an independent artist using his truth as fuel and his pain as poetry. Born Travis Bernardo Yearby, his music is raw, emotional, and unapologetically real — reflecting a journey marked by addiction, incarceration, heartbreak, and survival.
Inspired by local musicians he looked up to growing up, Freaky Tlazy says it was “Lowdown and Dirty”—a local influence—that first lit the spark. That spark turned into a flame, and now he's using his voice to preach, teach, and push through the struggles he's faced. With a sound he calls “Tupacish,” he doesn’t just make songs — he paints pictures with words, drawing on hard times and deep feelings to connect with listeners on a soul level.
While he remains fully independent, Freaky Tlazy finds inspiration through the shared struggle of others, especially groups like TFE. He's also had some standout moments, including a collaboration with a rock band and building connections with beatmakers and underground artists who share his passion. One highlight: a tribute remix to “Thug Mansion” by Tupac — recorded entirely using just his phone. Underground or not, it’s real music.
Freaky Tlazy is open to collaborations and interested in a distribution deal that respects his authenticity. His next single is a remix of “Burn” with Juice WRLD — a track that promises to push his momentum further.
He’s not chasing clout — he’s telling his story. And for Freaky Tlazy, the mission is clear: reach people who feel unheard and remind them they’re not alone.
