  In baseball terms you could say the arrival of Kevin Gates suffered a lengthy rain delay for his Michigan fans; due to an unfortunate situation a few hours before he was supposed to perform on Halloween last year which caused a few issues amongst fans but at the end of the day it’s nothing that can be done about that. It wasn’t the promoters fault; just one of those things that are unavoidable. It was still good reality music performed that evening and an intimate meet and greet with Starlito and Don Trip. The Step Brothers held it down and rocked it out in the absence of Kevin Gates that evening picking up the slack from the headliner. #ItsAllHood because the date was immediately rescheduled and the sun is now shining brighter than ever for “Kevin Gates” aka Mr. IDGT …one of the hardest working artist in the rap game. This 2014 XXL Freshman Class alum is still independent although there have been rumors that he’s signed to Cash Money. This is not true as he is halfway through headlining his second nationwide tour which is featuring Taylor Gangs own “Chevy Woods”.

     The streets have been talking and one thing for sure it’s becoming more evident that this Louisianna native and full time hustler understands the game and the many ways on how it can be played. #IDGT has been coined by “Gates” and it means … I Don’t Get Tired; which is obvious if you follow him on social media as he’s constantly posting clips of him putting in ground work. All he ever needed was a mic headphones and a silent room and it’s murder he wrote on a track….#RealTalk. Constantly in the studio perfecting his craft and knocking out Hood Anthems such as “Don’t Know”, “Arm & Hammer”, “Straight From The Mud” and “Supposed To Be In Love” which are only a few tracks that fans from all over the nation gravitate toward and repeat word for word. You could feel the love Lansing, Michigan had for a real street poet as the entire club embraced him as he jumped off stage and walked through the crowd rapping "IDGAF” shortly after stating … “If you f#cking with another rapper you can’t touch, then they “P#$$Y”!!!  It’s amazing to see his passion displayed in a live performance and from the images I’ve captured from this event it is proof that there are indeed diamonds in the mud.
