One of the year's top Midwest Hip Hop projects comes from @RappinA$$Willz with the 4th Quarter release of #DaCovid19EP; from the opening track the wordplay immediately captures your attention.  If you don't know what the Midwest sound is then this is a perfect example of that gumbo flow that this Saginaw, Michigan native has been bringing to the game for years.  This is a more universal & mature sound from C Willz;  from the beat section to the topics of the songs and the flow of this 10 track EP.

Stand-out tracks include "Love/Hate", "Kratos", "O4 Hov", "Dreamin", "Open Letter" and "Picasso".  You'll find additional views on the project in the upcoming issues No.14 and No.15 of HOOD Illustrated Magazine. Our first impression of the project after running it back twice is how effortless and put together the project sounds. "Painting a room with vivid pictures" is the best way I can briefly describe Da Covid 19 EP. It's a laid-back sound that compliments the unrushed flow of the artist while making sure you are reminded of the essence of the world of Hip Hop.

When the time comes I'd like to see a visual to "Love/Hate" and it's also a perfect song to submit to different shows such as "Sway In The Morning" A&R Corner and those different outlets that cater to quality hip hop music. ( 3.5 Fires out of 5 )
