Artist Spotlight presents Bishop Drippa

Sup World I am Demarcus “Bishop Drippa”. I'm an independent Hip
Hop artist from the “Red Top” area (west of) Charleston, South Carolina.
Growing up in Red Top I stood out because I have a great sense of
music. Particularly Hip Hop, but I didn’t dress the part! I was known as
the Groovy Geek! Which is more than a name. It's a way of life that was
inspired by my daughter Marcasia. She delt with some issues in school
for being the "Smart kid" so we made that something to stand on.
Instead of something to be ashamed of. I'm a father, musician, producer,
and have appeared in several independent movies, and documentaries.
The music I make is a combination of my life struggles, and the things
I've had to overcome as a black man born in the South. Authenticity is
key with me so I only can give my audience what I like to call Southern
Slang Visuals in other words a vivid picture into my life.
I've been creating music since I was about 13. Started taking my passion
seriously at about the age of 18 after coming home from a juvenile
program. I guess you can say music swung me out of the streets and into
the booth. I'm the creator and CEO of J.U.I.C.E. Dripp GANG. Music
Group. (J.ust U.sing I.ntelligence C.reating E.xcellence) This group is a
collection of talented independent artists who not only perform together
they support each other.
