When you are coming up in the Caribbean, its not easy to get your music stateside. With goals of having their music on MTV and other worldwide televisions shows, R&B/Pop group Regulaz has focused on remaining true to the Caribbean sound they have been known for while also throwing in a modern day twist on the music of their roots.
Its a family affair with the guys as they grew up together running around in the streets as kids and vibing to music they grew up around played my their elders.
“We are two brothers and a cousin so we are like brothers,” The Regulaz explained. “Music was always in our bloodline and Trinidad is famous for the steel band, we grew up in that era, with that vibe and so music was in our blood since day one. We didn’t get started with music, music started us,”
“We have some new tracks that were recorded and in the works we are promoting currently getting some play,” The Regulaz added. As of the top of July the guys are “getting some spins in Trinidad and Tobago and in New York City and are pushing to get more spins,” they said. “Our music is like Island Pop with an urban music twist.”
While trap music rules right now, the guys remain true to their sound focused on songs that will fit their fans.
“We like sing about enjoyment, happiness, love, the ladies, being happy, we got some sad songs in there for sad people too,” The Regulaz said jokingly. “We got something for everyone in there.”
