Making sure he keeps taking listeners to higher heights, The Boy Illinois has released dope new singles back to back, releasing “Fly High” after his collaboration with rapper Z-Verse for “International”. In this latest release, Illi raps over a smooth, laid back groove spitting about how, since he’s entered the rap game, nothing has been the same for the music industry or him as an individual. Illi says he wakes up and gets to work and that has propelled him to the current status in his musical career. The Boy Illinois understands he has caught the attention of hip hop fans with his raspy tone and melodic rhyme flow. In “Fly High” The Boy Illinois proclaims he came to take over, is on the grind 365 days of the year, (366 on the leap year), and encourages people to join him on the way to the top. If you ask the young hip hop legend in the making if he can hear the haters beneath him, and he confesses “not really”. Accompanied by the bars of female emcee Millie Mesh, who address the sneak dissing and shade, and makes sure we know that she isn’t bothered by any of it; like Illi, Millie Mesh is rising up and excelling in her career. “Fly High” is Illi’s declaration to the industry that he is not playing any games with this music game!
