SD: Here’s a more serious question, how is Crown Republik Ent a round table or fraternity or sorts when at any given point you as head of the table can release someone from the family? How does that work?
RB: Well damn that’s a great question, one I wasn’t prepared for but let me give it a shot. Since Crown Republik is a round table I actually do go speak to certain member before I make a decision to cut anyone. Most times someone has already come to me with issues before hand. Also I’m the General, the big brother, my job is to grow the family but protect it at the same time. And I take that responsibility very serious!
SD: So let back up a bit, what happened at the attic?
RB: Idk, I was only the night club manager. The owners AJ and Guy felt like it was time to close the doors. So after two years of hosting hip hop in the art district we closed the doors.
SD: Any thoughts of re-opening?
RB: Don’t know. We have tons of ideas and a gang of opportunities on the table but opening the night club and hookah lounge back up are not on the top of the list. Plus we have a partnership with hooters now so we got some other special events coming.
SD: Being an older hip hop artists do you find it petty and immature to involve yourself in beefs?
RB: I mean I don’t do beef. Either I fux with you or I don’t. I’m to old now to be wasting energy on beefing with some one. Fighting on social media and shit. (laughter) If u got a problem with me I ain’t hard to find. I don’t have a security team full of body guards. I’m still the same ol me, If there’s something to speak on, it can be addressed like men and if not... then that’s something else.
SD: Lastly Blacc thank you for coming in again, this is how we will finish and not to have made this whole blog interview about some negative topics but with everything you got going and all the positive things moving about you. I wanted to ask what, if anything, would you take back thus far in your successful music career?
RB: Mannnn, I don’t know, not much. This has been one hell of a business voyage. Nothings been personal, I’m not mad at anyone. I might not be as close as we use to be or we might not speak as much as we use to. But it’s nothing personal it’s business. And when it comes to my business if it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense! I don’t feel like we’ve made any moves that hurt us in the long run. Some people have come and gone, some business relationship have worked and others have not. I wouldn’t change any of it! It’s made us who we are today! Crown Gang!!!
