Andrew Parks (December 22,1986), known professionally as Dru Jefe, is an American singer from San Diego, California. The son of a struggling single mother and the eldest of six siblings, Dru Jefe listened to melodies and words at a young age to uplift and inspire him through rough times. His father passed at a young age. With no father figure around, he deciphered wisdom through music and was eager to learn from the greats.
At age 8, he was the lead singer in his church choir. His connection with music was not clear to him then, but as he grew older, he always found himself chiming into projects that involved music. As a teenager, he managed his younger brother and cousin’s music career and helped pushed them to succeed. Under pressure to financially succeed for his family, Andrew Parks was incarcerated. While in prison, he began to network with inmates who also had a passion for music. Soon, his peers discovered that he could sing. His friend would often write music while Parks sang the vocals.
Once he served his time, Dru Jefe had a new sense of purpose and direction. He realized life was short, knew he wanted to be a singer, and began his journey to follow his dreams.
In 2017, Dru Jefe and his colleague Nino Califonya created the Rap and R&B singles “Right Now”, “Petty”, “We Know”, and “Be Still”.
He has performed at venues in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and San Diego. The Linq and Lacey's strip club (Las Vegas), The Observatory North Park, The Merrows, AD Nightclub, f6ix Nightclub, and SOMA (San Diego) to name a few.
Dru Jefe has a growing 13.4K followers on Instagram. His social media handle is drujefe_.
