"Got my heart racing, hands shaking, plus hallucinations escalating to point I can’t control. System overload, young and stupid when I sold my soul," rhymes Salty Brasi in his new Charlie Mumbles produced single "Negative".
The Arizona alumni and New York transplant Salty Brasi has released his new single and the Dylan Toon-directed music video for the track. The trance-inducing beat was produced by Charlie Mumbles and features Salty spitting some mesmerizing rhymes that overload the listener's sensory like he's the Hunter S. Thompson of rap.
Born in Indiana and uprooted in Phoenix, Arizona, Brasi has put himself on the map, quickly drawing comparisons to the likes of Action Bronson for his filthy and sometimes humorous wordplay and diverse musical palette. After transplanting his roots in Brooklyn, New York, Salty Brasi looks to take a page from great emcees like Nas, Action Bronson & 50 Cent and channel the spirit of New York as the birthplace of hip hop.
Now signed to Suburban Noize Records and residing in Brooklyn, an area that has produced some of the most influential rappers in the game, Salty Brasi is already turning heads with his unique twist on hip-hop that comes as a breath of fresh air.
