Jersey Shore Hip Hop artist Inf Grizzy releases his new album titled ‘Addicted.’ The 15-track project features an array of music talent including New Br33d, Yb D’Nero, Snake iiz, J Don, M.I.C., and Annika Bellamy.
Inf Grizzy delivers a canvas brimming with unyielding honesty and raw emotion. Each track is different in style and flows with distinct messages. He touches on relationships, societal issues, personal demons, harsh truths of survival, and striving towards dreams, but most intriguing is his growth as a man and artist. His ability to put together novel intros for each track does not go unnoticed.
“Prayer” is a stern spoken word piece speaking to the Lord on behalf of himself and all his sisters and brothers. His intensity is felt with each echoing syllable. His mention of corrupt cops, drugs, pain and feeling stuck while the devil is chasing is gripping and hair-raising. He pleads to the Lord to wake people up and get them out of the streets which only welcome death.
“Addicted” is a positive track displaying positive love and what it means for a King and Queen to hold each other down. The blend of rhymes and a melodic hook along with striking instruments underscores the beauty of authentic love. “These Girls” is quite the opposite. This track is about freaky girls who want to party and sip on Barcardi, which ultimately leads to hookups (descriptively painted).
“The Bank” is a gritty track that hits hard with thumping bass. It highlight’s Inf Grizzy’s power moves that lead him to the bank counting stacks of dead presidents. This is due to his 24/7 hustle and grind.
“Want Me” captures the hypnosis a man feels knowing he is wanted and desired by a Bad B. She can’t deny his realness and no games mentality. He’s ready to celebrate and uplift in a classy way. “Clap Clap” is for the strippers and embodies the stripper life. Ironically the track is driven by a clapping and striking backdrop.
“F Dat Shit” is an attack on mumble rap, aggressively delivered. Inf Grizzy is tired of wack rappers and circus clowns getting unnecessary shine from the industry. He fires off during the track with real rap dropping real bars. “Take My Time” is a reflection that unfortunately is shared too many times (when will it end?). Although Inf is sitting in a jail cell with no bail he won’t allow the (racist) system to bring him down. Although his friends have turned their backs on him, his name is still ringing. “My Life” piggybacks that theme. Inf Grizzy’s uncanny vocal deliverance exemplifies his message to haters. He is his own soldier traveling a different way now, closer to grasping his dreams.
“4 Da $” is a track shedding light on the reality of what some women face to support themselves and their families. What is there to do when you wear the jacket of a felon and need to find a way to pay rent and bills on the first of every month? By any means, they will get money…
“Trick or Treat” carries an anthem-style hook while the track depicts Halloween; from town to town snatching king-size candy bars to masked up as Kreuger and Myers. Now it’s a different tale, Inf Grizzy wears the mask of Phantom of the Opera and goes in with a lullaby knockout to the face of sideline rappers. “Bad Santa” switches up The Night Before Christmas and exposes actions that aren’t so merry. Since Christ was taken out of Christmas, the Grinch is on a binge and Santa is landing on trap houses.
“9 South Vapin’” is for smokers. Inf Grizzy is representing 9 South knocking music and turning up with his crew. The track will leave listeners blazed and trapped in a daze. The blaring hook “Roll it up burn it up smoke it up vape it up” echos in unison.
“Love Is Blind” is a man’s perspective on what it feels like to be played. Inf Grizzy shares about being treated badly and looking like a fool. He emphasizes the feeling of being looked into his eyes with nothing but lies. The album’s finale “Right Now” is invigorating with infectious energy. It vibrates with positive footsteps forward to achieve greatness. It sums up Inf Grizzy’s goal-fused mentality.
Inf Grizzy emanates the poster man of Hip Hop as he delivers vivid wordplay and potent rhyme schemes laced with unapologetic honesty. ‘Addicted’ offers something for everyone and is sure to have audiences pressing repeat and reciting hooks.
