James Worthy releases his new soulful R&B sound to fans with the release of his long-awaited 2nd EP, Kaleidoscopes. The forthcoming record is a follow-up from his 2019 debut EP "Blu Leisure". This new body of work was released on January 17, 2020, and is available on all digital platforms.
Along with the EP announcement, James has interesting collaborations on the project which include artists such as: Ray Lavender, Ruff Endz, Drag-On, Truth Hurts, & Jillisa Lynn. James will be touring regionally with special guests to be announced along with tour dates. James recorded most of Kaleidoscopes in his studio in Atlanta, GA with engineer Styalistic. Worthy has worked with producers Styalistic, Shay Mizz, and Frisktrackz on this project.
Kaleidoscopes is composed of 7 tracks that according to James "Spent Months crafting, recreating, and analyzing" to bring out the best product. Each song gives different musical textures within the R&B genre, but with heavy melodic influences, and arrangements with songs like “This Wave” or more soulful like “Show Me”. While each song varies in tone, they all are originals, and circle back to one universal theme. “Kaleidoscopes is a urban soul-filled, catchy collection of reminders that love, harmony, diversity, and unity can co-exist in our modern world,” says Worthy. The body of work is packed with layers of gauzy synth textures, and sweet hooks with a glossy finish on production, and of course James Worthy’s smooth vocals.
