South Jersey's very own J Mag is back with his latest single “ENVY.” The track it self unveils a new side of J -- a more developed and evolved heartfelt version, who's versatile, fast-paced bars and melodic beats surpass his time. The purpose of the single (as J puts it) is to recognize who or what your enemies are and how to persevere. J Mag wants the fans to know who he is and what he’s been through.
“I actually wrote this song about a year ago. I was in a secluded place; mentally. I felt like the world was against me and everything I did would backfire on me.” unnamed The featureless track was produced by Sean Divine, Jurd Beats and Jay-O. Also noted: it took the artist less than a week to write -- much shorter then singles on his past project, 2017's Fired Up. So what's next?
J Mag looks to release Home grown Volume 1 (hosted by DJ NoPhrillz) soon, and while he has been published in ASCAP, J looks to make even bigger moves this year. In hopes of showing his supporters his skill and carving out a spot not only among the local scene in Philly, but nationally and globally. In addition to this the forthcoming mixtape, the Jersey native is gearing up to drop visuals for "Envy, "a joint EP with Hank McCoy this April and a debut solo EP in June. Either way, check out "Envy" below.
