Joshua Elias aka "E.L.I.A.S," has a unique story coming into the music world. Coming from an area more known for its high drug overdose rate, and limited opportunity, the Ohio Valley native chose to change the negativity of not just his community, but be a savior to the genre of hip hop itself. He has succeeded in catching the attention of a wide range of people- President Barack Obama, Underground Music Awards, Roc Nation Records, Atlantic Records.
ELIAS initially wanted to pursue music when he heard Bone Thugs N Harmony's "Cross-Roads" at age 5 and remembering how drawn he was to hip hop music. His first moments into the scene was competing in music & poem competitions in churches and schools at the age of 14 years old. He became the first ever West Virginia hip hop artist to perform at major church competition "Teen Talent" and won countless awards for his poetry, including the prestigious "Young Writers for The Future Award."
ETP decided to go pro in the music industry Nov 23rd 2014 when he met his rap idols "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony" and received some very inspiring advice that forever changed his life. Two weeks later he was sharing the stage with r&b Legend "Ginuwine". More shows brought more attention, and allowed ELIAS to share the stage with YMCMB's Cory Gunz, Pleasure P, G-Unit's Young Buck, Fetty Wap, Funk Volume, Cassidy, Freeway, Snow Da Product, Lantana and more.
ELIAS' major accomplishments include being nominated for the 2015 Underground Music Awards for "Best Original Male Artist" and being selected as a featured artist for XXL Magazine 2015 XXL Freshman Edition. ELIAS cumulates a buzz all over media from radio to NYC Daily TV. His cover stories on FOX, CBS, NBC, WTOV-9, and WTRF-7 News inspires whoever it reaches. He's made a major impact with his front page cover stories in multiple city newspapers. He's reached radio stations that feature entertainment outside of hip hop, on classic hits, sports radio, country, gospel, and r&b radio stations. He was named HOT97's "WHO'S NEXT" 2015 Alumni, and is featured on Thisis50, VladTV, MTV, Underground Music Awards, A&R Summit, Desert Storm, and many more websites including the launch of his own everydaylifeisasuccess.com.
ELIAS wants to show his wide range of talent, versatility, and how he is truly a "leader" and not just a "rapper". On August 31st 2015, ELIAS was selected,by national rally group "Fed-Up" as a leader to speak on how to better his communinity, and the group caught President Barack Obama's attention. Thats when ELIAS learned how music can affect the lives of the youth and the world around him. "I was surrounded by politicians, mayors, law enforcement, judges, etc," ELIAS states, "and when they told me that my voice to reach people is more powerful and effective than theirs, I knew how important my music is because "Everyday Life Is A Success."
