Based in New York City, Eri Blossom is a multi-talented artist, equally adept as a singer, rapper, and songwriter. She effortlessly weaves together Japanese and English in her music, delivering a blend of sassy attitude and raw emotion. Her sound is a testament to her multicultural influences, drawing from both Japanese and American cultures to present listeners with a unique perspective they've never encountered before.
Her upbringing in Japan, surrounded by parents who cherished American and British culture, nurtured her love for classic R&B and hip-hop legends like Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, TLC, Tupac, and Janet Jackson. After moving from her hometown to Tokyo to pursue her musical studies, Eri had the chance to perform in nightclubs and even visit New York City to take classes with Sheila Raye Charles, the daughter of the iconic Ray Charles.
Eri's experience included street performances and direct interactions with audiences, which ultimately convinced her to make the bold move to New York City. Since her relocation, she has achieved a bachelor's degree in Jazz studies from the City College of New York, further expanding her musical horizons to include Jazz. Her journey also led her to perform at renowned music venues in the city, such as the Village Underground, Ashford and Simpson's Sugar Bar, Harlem Nights, The Groove, and Negril BK, solidifying her presence in the vibrant New York music scene.
