Anticipating the release of his next project Home Court Advantage, The Boy Illinois is climaxing a successful reign from his former project DuSable, with the debut of the EP's last single "Ruling Class" featuring Drey Skonie. Ruling Class welcomes us into the mind of the artist, where his passion as well as his love and cultivation of our community reside. "Ruling Class", produced by 25th Floor and directed by FlyKite, also pays homage to the classic "If I Ruled the World" by Nas and Lauryn Hill with a modernized interpretation. The Boy Illinois gives an account of his world, with the melodic voice of Drey Skonie floating in the background with the retro hook. The scenery is set in the exclusive Gold Pyramid House, a testament to Illi's acknowledgement of history, culture, and what makes us who we are as a people and individuals.
