  These days, when you hear the term "DJ", it probably picture a guy with a laptop and a program, over charging people to host mixtapes and parties, simply because they put the "DJ" in front of their nickname. It is another sad reality of how technology is turning a culture into a trending fad. But deep deep in the underground the true essence of art holds true. Its still about talent over popularity. And if you can't do what you do with out auto-tune and computer systems doing the work for you, you really have no place in the undergrounds inter-workings.

     Allow us to introduce Steve Crawford, AKA, DJ Energy.  Dj Energy built a reputation for being a natural on the turn tables...whether it was taking the party up a few notches or destroying competition in Dj Battles, DJ Energy is respected and saluted through out the independent entertainment community.  At one point he strayed away from Djing to pursue life goals. But his passion was to strong. And even after finishing school and becoming an attorney, Steve Crawford could not leave his first love alone. And Dj Energy found himself back in front of the tables. Founding "Beaty Boy Records," Dj Energy focuses on the many styles of soulful electronic dance music including house, techno, funk and neo-soul.

    Dj Energy recently released his new single "Rise."  A feel good, up tempo single that makes you want to get up and move your feet. He enlisted the help of the amazing songstress " Lachi" to place her wonderful vocals over the heart pumping instrumental. You can't deny talent.
