Born Dominic Smith in Boston, Massachusetts, The Black Bon Jovi started his entertainment career after his aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. As her primary caretaker, he would often say, "Hold on, Auntie. You are halfway there." This is when Smith's aunt coined the name The Black Bon Jovi, referring his comforting words to the lyrics of the Bon Jovi song "Livin' On a Prayer."
After the passing of his aunt, Smith decided to take his nickname and his passion for helping those afflicted by cancer and start his own movement. Along with his donations from the sales of "Cancer Survivor," Smith is challenging big-name artists like Soulja Boy and iHeartMemphis to become a resource in the fight against cancer.
Donning his signature face paint and infectious positive energy, The Black Bon Jovi will be performing his hit single along with his other vibrant, upbeat songs at The First Annual Cancer Survivor Celebrity Kickball Fundraiser on August 4th and 5th 2018 at Joe Moakley Park in Boston, sharing the show with a host of surprise celebrity guess.
The Boston Police Department District Three announces partnership with Atlanta musician The Black Bon Jovi to co-produce The First Annual 2018 Cancer Survivor Celebrity Kickball Fundraiser. The Black Bon Jovi, an Atlanta musical artist and advocate for cancer patients and their families, has a smash single "Cancer Survivor," an anthem encouraging those struggling with cancer to fight for their
lives.
District Three and Cops for Kids with Cancer will assist The Black Bon Jovi with spreading positive energy to the ones that are in need.
[Providing his own fun mix of pop music with EDM and rock and roll, THE BLACK BON JOVI inspires people to keep moving forward, even when they feel like they're at the bottom and living on a prayer. He is very much involved in the community, and he hopes that his music encourages the people who are around him. He says, "If I can do it, they can to." Come see THE PRINCE OF ROCK AND ROLL live in a city near you!]
