"I knew this record would be special when I was recording it. It was just about complete but still felt like something was missing from it. On a random studio session with BiggBoo, my guy Boogie Fre$h came through to finish a record we were working on. I was playing City Lights when he walked in & he mentioned that he had an idea for it, which quickly became the iconic melody for the song as a whole. We literally spent a whole year making sure the song was perfect.
