Growing up in Rock Island Illinois, Wes Muzik began his career in his mother’s womb with music pumping through his blood. His mother and others in his life gave him the life force of creativity and passion to pursue a career in the business although he says he wishes he would of known that this business can be cold and hard. He says, “ I had to develop tough skin. I also had to learn when to shake things off and when to fight for other things.”
And fight he has, he’s fought his way into an impressive music career as a producer, drummer, writer, and A&R. He’s now releases his first single “I H.A.T.E U” featuring Mister Aubs and Steve Legacy, but he’s also changed his name to Ife Senoj. “ My name is inspired by the movie “Love Jones”. “Ife” in Yoruba means “love” and “Senoj” is “Jones” spelled backwards. I’ve always been inspired by poetry and have been writing poetry since a child.” He states, “ I thought it would be dope to reference that in my stage name.”
With his new identity and artist release out, Ife Senoj has come with a song that really shows the vulnerability of men. “Have you wondered how men feel during times of conflict in their relationship?” He asks, “There are many times that men’s feelings get ignored, but we hurt also. This song describes how three friends navigate through their “Love Gone Wrong” situations and elaborate on what it means to “have all these bottled- and pent-up emotions” for someone that you truly love.” The song shows so many different personalities of the three artists and is defintraly a song you can have on repeat.
