Video: Griff Tyler - Coffee
Inglewood, CA artist, Griff Tyler, has released a new single and music video, “Coffee.” The song was written by Griff Tyler himself, and production was by Nosalez.
The song describes the abundant beauty Tyler feels when encountering a woman of color. Through echoed metaphors, the lyrics compare the captivation of these women to a cup of delicious coffee.
“During this time we are living in and with everything that’s going on in the world right now, I just felt the need to show love to our black queens,” said Tyler. “I love them and I don’t think they get enough praise, so I was very motivated and inspired to create something that could uplift their spirits.”
Tyler believed that it was important to portray this same message in the music video for the song. “My team and I just felt that the video should represent everything the song represents: embracement of our queens,” said Tyler.
