SKURF – SKURF, an American hip-hop trio from Mississippi consisting of members Sauce (Left), Ski 1X (Middle), And Astro (Right). All three members are relatives, having the same mentor, they refer to him as Papa SKURF.

Astro being the oldest, he started his music career in the 6th grade and his younger cousins would soon follow his lead.
Ski and Sauce (not too farfetched in age) were both enrolled in their high school band and fell in love with music at a young age.

They formed their group in 2015, and have been riding a wave of success every since. Rae Sremmurd, Impxct, and Double R
are a few artist they’ve collaborated with in the past. SKURF released two studio length projects in 2017 “SKURF Season” & “SKURF Season 2” and plan to release “SKURF Season 3” in May 2018.

Interviewer-

How did you all start making music?

Astro-

We grew up around it. Papa SKURF always produced music for local artists in our home town. It kind of grew on me, you know?

Interviewer-

And you’re how old?

Astro-

I’m 21.
Ski 1x-
Old a** *chuckles*

Which is the oldest between you two?

Sauce-

I’m the baby you dig, but I’m the wildest! Always ready to turn up no matter the environment!

Interviewer-

Being around you guys for this brief time, you guys seem to have a lot of chemistry and very charismatic.

What makes you stand out from competition? Especially artist already in the music industry.

Ski 1x-

We got distinctive voices and styles. We from Mississippi and have accents the world haven’t heard yet. When you hear Stro, you know that’s Stro.

When you hear Sauce, you know that’s Sauce. When you hear Ski, you know that’s Ski. These other rappers ain’t coming like us bro! Not being cocky, that’s just how I feel.

Sauce-

I feel you man. It’s important that you have confidence nowadays. What’s the creative process like when you record?

Sauce-

We freestyle everything. That writing s*** take too long and that s*** outdated. They did that in the 90s man!

Astro-

Ain’t touched a pencil since high school.

Ski 1x-

We three people but act as one. We all think alike! We record 3 songs a day, within 15 to 30 minutes. If it takes longer we’ll changed to a different instrumental.

Interviewer-

15 minutes? That’s crazy man! It’s been nice interviewing you guys man, I wish you nothing but success and elevation. I can’t wait to check out the new album!
