Niceguy The ILLIAN - "Winners Mentality" ft. Masspike Miles

The ILLEST01 was born as “Donovan With” on October 12th. In Surinam (South America), and moved to Amsterdam (Europe) when he was 9.

His music carreer started at the age of 13 as a drummer in a marching band. Around the same age he started writing his own lyrics to instrumentals like “Snoop dog - drop it like it’s hot”.

It took The ILLEST01 some years to figure out if he really wants to become a rapper.

In 2007 he teamed up with Slip ‘n Slide Dj “Dj Chuck Clasik” for his first mixtape called “Hiker”. The ILLEST01 made 500 copies of his mixtape, and sold them for €5,- in his neighbourhood.

After the release of his first mixtape, he started to gain a small fanbase in his neighbourhood. At that time his stage name was D-Nice, so everybody started to know about D-Nice.

In 2009 The ILLEST01 made a remix to Jeremih’s “Birthdaysex” and shot a video.

In 2011 The ILLEST01 released his 2nd. Mixtape called “The Cremation vol.1” and also changed his stage name from D-Nice to Niceguy The ILLIAN because there we’re too many rappers with the name D-Nice, so he needed a unique name.

After the first Cremation, The ILLEST01 released 2 more mixtapes, The Cremation vol.2 (2012) and The Cremation vol.3 (2013) along with some music videos. 

In 2016 The ILLEST01 supprised his fans with a new image and a smashing single “When She Cumming” + music video.

It’s safe to say that this single was his HIT-single, the views went up, streams went up, socialmedia followers went up!

In 2017 he released 2 singles, RAW and “Winners Mentality” where he featured with singer/songwriter Masspike Miles.

In august that year released his first EP. “Go Getter No Quitter”. (Now over 500.000 streams)

In 2018 he changed his stage name from Niceguy The ILLIAN to The ILLEST01, and already released 2 singles with his new stage name.

“Why change the stage name again?”

‘i wanted to have a shorter name, and in my songs i always call myself the illest as in the illest rapper, so now i’m claiming that spot by using that as my stage name.

The “01” is my movement, it simply stands for number one, zero one.’
