Hip-Hop music has a new sound. King Emery is changing the game with his witty, attention-grabbing trap music. As a Dallas native, carving a niche for himself wasn’t always easy. His childhood memories of rappers consist of many MC’s claiming to be drug king-pins or big-time gangsters. None of that was ever his claim to fame and he refused to ever portray an image that wasn’t authentic.

Instead, he remained true to himself and his story. He’s a young African American Texan, who has experienced many of the same struggles most of his peers have. What sets him apart is his ability to turn his experiences into head bangers.

He spent years of his young life recording music right at his mother’s dining room table. Donned with a pair of headphones and an old laptop, he proceeded to write some of his best music.

Now, King Emery is taking his craft to new heights. Since he became part of the Webb Music Pro family, he has been sought by some of the top record labels in the country.

In an interview, King Emery said, “I almost didn’t make it. I almost became a statistic. An OG stepped up and took the wrap for me in a situation that could have put me away for a very long time. I use that sacrifice to propel me to the top.” He knows how close he was to almost missing out on the opportunity to live in his dream.

King Emery’s unique sound is what the Hip-Hop game has been missing. The art of making music that rocks the human soul to it’s core is what has made Hip-Hop stand out around the world. This is the type of music that King Emery creates repeatedly. He rides a track with confidence and jumps right into the pocket without delay. His song “Lit” showcases just that. He’s not singing, he’s not rapping, he found that special wave and surfs his way through the song.
