Hood Illustrated Exclusive with YungRod 2G
Veteran writer and singer, YungRod 2G (AkA Two G’s) has strived to master her innate musical talent since he age of 3. She received classical training in chorus, stringed instruments and writing; which is evident with her enchanting, story telling abilities, impressive flow and seasoned wordplay. After almost two terms in the US military, this artist repurposed her professional experience to cater to the music industry in 2012. She also founded a nonprofit organization who’s mission is to mentor at-risk, inner city youth as a deterrent from the increasingly available street violence in her hometown. Currently she’s creating a benchmark in the Southeastern hip hop scene as she continues to share her story filled with lifelong aspirations of knowledge, excellence and professionalism.
Her new single #TVHBTL is a smooth tune with the crooning melodies of this new age super star is set to be released in January, 2019 . “A lot of people are curious about what I’ve been up to” says Alabama native, “well this song, accompanied with a few others and visuals will let y’all know. Other than that, catch me in the Streets of Magic City or some where reppin my hometown.”
