Getitboi Da Kyng comes straight out of Portsmouth, the most dangerous city in Virginia. He defeated all odds against him- both of his parents were in and out of jail, which forced him to the street life early, raised by his grandmother. Someone he had to take care of, just like she did him- no jail record, a son and a daughter, and he made it through the worst part of his struggle. He has been doing music since as long as he can remember. It's been the only constant thing in his 25 years of life. If it wasn't for music, Getitboi Da Kyng said he would probably be dead or in jail. He put his heart and soul into this music. It's his life, his heartbeat, his sanity, his "iggibam" I gotta get It by any means"
