Rap Artist (Finess) formally known as Feddy) was born on September 4, 1992 and
raised in the Bronx, N.Y. Finess was always musically inclined as a child. At a
very young age he made up little verses and recited them at home. He grew up
listening to different genres of music. At the age of eight he fell in love with Hip-
Hop. He was drawn to artists such as Biggie Smalls, Nas, Fabulous, and 50 Cent
due to their ability to engage their listeners in a story. This style of rap influenced
Finess to begin writing lyrical verses of his own. At the age of 12 he began
performing in front of crowds of people throughout his neighborhood. He
developed a reputation for himself and caught the attention of a local producer.
Although, the producer was very impressed with Finess’s word play and talent, he
was not fully sold on Finess as a marketable artist. Feeling let down, Finess decided to put his
music to the side for awhile.

Like many teenagers growing up in the streets of the South Bronx, his environment took a toll
on him. He got caught up with the wrong crowd which landed him in jail. Boredom and
frustration set in while he was in jail. With nothing but time on his hands Finess decided it was
time to get back to his music. Finess picked up his pen and began putting his thoughts,
emotions and feelings on paper. Soon after being released from jail he focused on developing
his craft as an artist. While working on his mix tape entitled “Checkmate” Finess released a
few singles such as “School of Hard Knocks”, “Check’s” and “Did me wrong” catching the
attention of many new followers, hereby increasing his fan base. After the release of his
freestyle single entitled therapy, he grasped an even larger audience with his versatility,
touching on racial inequality and the black lives matter movement.
