What is your name and what city do you rep?

My name is Ant Boogz & im straight outta New York, Queens to be exact 

What is unique about you and your music?

I feel the thing that makes me & my music unique is that im true to self. In a sense that makes everyone unique cause we’re all different but i think embracing it makes me more different. As far as musically, like Jay Z said “I bring something new cause its my story & no one got my story”

What shaped your music? 

I been rapping since i was 5. I was introduced to it early and took a liking to it quickly. My life & how its panned out definitely shapes my music.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally? 

Once i got into the studio in 2015 it was over. I knew i wanted to do it. I used to dream about it as a kid but never really believed i could make it, but once i got into the booth it was different 

What type of music do you listen to? 

All types of music. Rap, Pop, Rock, R&B, Soca, Reggae, Sad, Happy, Mad. You name it 

Who, to you, is the most undervalued music artist? 

Honestly speaking me. I think im just as talented as anyone who’s been mainstream or is currently mainstream. I think i make relatable great music

How do you prepare for your performances? 

Don’t really do much besides rap to myself & imagine all the goals i got. Trying to turn the crowd from 50 to 50,000 gets me hype

What ignites your (song) writing flow? 

Everything. But mainly emotions. When im feeling a certain type of way strongly i could write 10 songs in a row about it 

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about? 

Write, Read, & play basketball. I had hoop dreams once. I love basketball. 

Success to you is… 

Success to me is living my life the way i want to & achieving every goal i have listed 

What do you wish you were told when you first started rapping that you think would help artists starting out? 

Don’t focus on everyone else. Worry about yourself & what you do. Stay true to yourself & be genuine. Also, 9/10 times you’re probably a lot worse than you think but that just means work harder

Any upcoming projects? 

I got a 7 track EP called Pressure on the way. Im also working on my 2nd tape. I don’t know what its going to be called but i know its going to be a lot more personal than my first one
