In today’s hip hop scene, you often times see people’s self-perceived worth and value in material things or physical appearance. Bullie Nelson, Co-CEO and General of ‘T.R.I.P. Down Records is releasing his second single title ‘SAMSON’ off his upcoming EP ‘TIE DIE’.

B.U.L.L.I.E. short for – (Be U Love Life In Everything) uses the piano laced, soulful track ‘SAMSON’ to inspire, motivate and give confidence to today’s generation to be comfortable in their own skin. “‘Samson’ is about finding strength in in yourself and not in the what the world defines as beauty.” Says Bullie Nelson about his upcoming song.

If the name ‘Samson’ rings a bell, it is because you may recall Samson from the Old Testament in the book of Judges in the Bible. Along with the double and triple entendre’s and deep biblical ties - Bullie Nelson also pays respect to several artists throughout the song including Puff Daddy, The Lox, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, ODB, Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dog, Redman, Outkast, Jill Scott and Al B. Sure(“aint got to be no Al B. Sure, be sure for real who you are…”).

When asked how he(Bullie Nelson) came up with the Samson concept, he simply said, “This is what you get when you watch ‘Half Baked’ and then a bible story pops up in your head out of nowhere”. Whatever the method was Bullie Nelson has put together is being considered by some, a modern day classic that deserves a listen.
