From the east side of Atlanta, hip-hop artist and producer Benkasso has been on a relentless grind since 2013. A self taught producer and member of the collective Pearl Gang, Ben always creates like he has something to prove. Over the years topics such as depression and mental illness has inspired him to create dark sounds filled with angst, while also creating up tempo bangers that scream hit record. Not being a very social person, he prefers to let his work speak for himself. Since the start of his journey as an Artist, Ben has showed consistent growth, progression and honesty throughout his music.

What genre of hip-hop do you consider your music to be in? Who have you been compared to?: I consider myself a hip-hop and rap artist. The most common comparison I hear is meek mill

Biggest Inspirations: Biggest inspirations getting started was curren$y for production and J Cole as an artist  

What makes your music stand out from your peers? What makes you unique?: I believe I bring a unique blend of artistry not from the streets onto some very tough street like production 

Why should our listeners check out your music?: I feel like people should listen to me because I cover every range of emotion from sadness to anger to depression to anxiety and just wanting to turn up or have fun
