(Song Description): "Roxbury" is the 1st single released by Austin,Tx native now LA based rapper/singer/producer/song writer Y2. A hybrid laid back trap/rnb track for sure Roxbury is featured on Y2's new album Th3 Triangl3 2017. 

As far as the hip hop rap scene in Texas, it seems Austin, Tx has been in shadows for years with rising talent awaiting that spotlight. From spending his earlier years competing in beat battles and "taking his talents" elsewhere to solidify his skill set and becoming a house hold name in the industry, Y2 has made it clear he doesn't plan on slowing up, he plans on showing up. 
From being featured on several Nipsey Hussle songs, to working with DJ Silk of Aftermath on the "Compton" album for Dr.Dre as a producer/song writer , Y2 isn't satisfied with accolades. As far as that spotlight goes, Y2 proves to be worthy of that light with his recent release of his new album "Th3 Triangl3 2017" and single "Roxbury". The album features only 3 artists: Micky Munday, Iamxlove and Los Angeles native femcee  Lex Lu. With most of the production done by Y2 himself and Derek Anderson, Seattle native producer/songwriter/engineer for T.I, Mya , and Nipsey Hussle , whom also produced "Roxbury" for Y2.
If you're fining yourself waiting for the next sound of 2017, look no further as Y2 may have just gave industry the change of approach it has been needing. Laid back mature , hypnotizing trap/rnb with so many different vibes that really feels like "2017" music.

Also noted: Y2 is featured on "Sauce" by Micky Munday prod by NonstopDaHitman of 808mafia which recently charted at #5 on DJBooth.net Top20 independent artist chart this week. Also featured on Nipsey Hussle's "State Of Mind" produced by Mike&Keys and is an additional vocalist on "FuccUm" by Nipsey Hussle feat. Freeway & Cuzzy Capone where Y2 was both writer and performer on the hook.
