Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival Celebrates 50 Years of Hip Hop at Historic 4th Ward SkatePark

Atlanta, Georgia - July 7th, 2023 - The Annual Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival is set to make history as it celebrates 50 Years of Hip Hop, paying tribute to the cultural phenomenon that has revolutionized music, art, and expression. Taking place on September 2nd and 3rd, 2023, at the iconic Historic 4th Ward Skate Park, this year's festival promises to be a monumental event.

Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival has been a longstanding platform for educating the community about the essence and significance of hip hop. As we mark this milestone anniversary, we honor the pioneers, innovators, and trailblazers who have shaped the genre over the past 50 years. From its humble beginnings in the Bronx to its global impact today, Hip Hop has captivated audiences worldwide, crossing boundaries of race, geography, and socioeconomic status.

Past editions have seen remarkable moments like when DJ Red Alert, honored Raheem the Dream during the festival's third year as wells as artists such as TI, Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Scream, DJ Swamp Izzo, Fabo of D4L, Murphy Lee of the Lunatics, Math Hoffa, K-Shine, Trouble (RIP), Sy Ari Da Kid, OJ Da Juiceman, Young Dro, Skooly, and many more influential figures have also graced our stages.

The Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival will showcase electrifying performances by renowned emcees, rap battles featuring rising stars, and a lineup of Atlanta's finest DJs who will keep the crowd moving with their exceptional skills. In addition to the musical showcases, the festival will highlight the various elements of hip hop, including awe-inspiring performances by B-Boys and B-Girls representing esteemed collectives.
